THE CONVENT
January 16 - February 17, 2019

written by Jessica Dickey
directed by Daniel Talbott

Produced by Weathervane Productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory
in association with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater

In Jessica Dickey’s The Convent, a group of women goes on a retreat to live like nuns in the Middle Ages and is baptized with 80s pop, female mysticism, hallucinogens, and sex. The Convent is a toothy dark comedy about desire, devotion, and the mystery of intrinsic divinity.

ALL THE RAGE
January 19 – February 24, 2013

A new play written & performed by Martin Moran
Directed by Seth Barrish

Produced by piece by piece productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory in association with The Barrow Group

2013 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show, and nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Solo Performance!

What happens when a mild-mannered Manhattanite shows up at his father’s Las Vegas funeral and ends up in a fight with his fuming stepmother? Or when he suddenly finds himself in a room, translating the details of an asylum seeker’s torture? In his new solo work, Martin Moran takes us on a quest from West of the Rockies to South of Johannesburg, unearthing unexpected connections and human hilarities as he attempts to resolve an ancient riddle: How is it that one moment we might reach out in compassion and the next…kill?
